lincoln city.

when london was just two whole weeks we did our very first big family outing to the beach. it was a first to visit the oregon coast for me, wrangler and londeloo! [just so ya know, that's pronounced 'lond-ee-loo'. it's one of the nicknames we have for our little babe. and i'm tired of spelling it with all the dashes. :)]
charlie loaded up the car for the day and we made the almost 2 hour drive to lincoln city.

it was a PERFECT day on the oregon coast. not too hot, not too cold, and SUNNY!

i'm so glad we created such a memorable day as a brand spanking new family of 3. well, 4 if you wanna count wranglerboy. :) who L-O-V-E-D the beach. he was in heaven!

 i just love our family.

just a *little* behind..

oops, was christmas already almost a month ago?
and am i just now uploading the pictures from our first christmas together as a family in one country/state/city/home?

yes, yes i am.

our christmas eve tradition is to decorate gingerbread houses.
as i was decorating mine, feeling our baby girl kick around inside me, i couldn't help but daydream about future christmases 10-15 years down the line, with all of our kids getting WAY competitive with one another with this gingerbread house tradition.  well, i HOPE so, at least. haha, i'm sure at least one of them will roll their eyes about it. but tuff noogies, future kids! you WILL decorate with us. and you WILL like it. :)

it was a lovely, small and quiet christmas.
definitely won't be having any more small and quiet christmases like that ever again! so, we soaked it up. :)

merry christmas; with love

thank you, candcpaperie's etsy!

tonight we'll be going to dinner at c's parents' house,
exchanging gifts with the fam,
going back home to enjoy making gingerbread houses [tradition
while sipping on some hot chocolate with too much whipped cream,
listening to classic christmas music and opening one gift each. :) [and saving the rest of the christmas fun for tomorrow!]

we hope you and yours have a wonderful christmas full of memories and love.
xo

baby o vol 1 [9 weeks]

world, say hello to our little babe!
cutest little thing i ever did see!
baby o even gave us a few wiggles! [i think she/he was waving "hi!" to mommy and daddy :)

9.5 weeks with healthy heartbeat of 167bmp, and measuring about a whole inch! grow, baby, grow!

How far along? 9 weeks 6 days as of today [10-20-12]

How big is baby? size of a grape! or, about 1 inch.

Maternity clothes? HECK YES. maternity jeans are the best invention ever. i still [somewhat] fit into all my old clothing, some better than others- my old jeans are the most uncomfortable thing right now. and i'm loving dresses and leggings, but since it's getting chilly, i'll have to get creative...

Stretch marks? Hoping to avoid them as much as possible! i'm rubbing stretch mark cream basically all over at least once or twice a day. i read that you can't avoid them, but no harm in trying! funny story: last week i blew my nightly routine and completely forgot to rub on my stretch mark cream- no big deal, but in charlie's deep sleep he rolled over, and worriedly awoke me and keep repeating "babe! your pregnancy cream!" and i said "what??" and he kept saying "your pregnancy cream...YOUR PREGNANCY CREAM!" then i realized he was sleep talking. hahaha. he must be just as worried as i am about those pesky stretch marks! [note: he still denies all of that. haa]

Sleep? is still my best friend! except, my work schedule has me on such a routine, that it is HARD to sleep in now. wahhh! i guess i better get used to it. hmph! but i am counting my lucky stars that i can still get 8-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep. ahh, yes. :)

Best moment last week? seeing our baby for the first time!! i could stare at that ultrasound picture all day. and, i do.

Movement? well i know baby o DOES squirm around in there! saw it for ourselves on the ultrasound, but sadly i can't feel it yet. i can't wait for that moment, though!

Food cravings? eh, not really craving anything in particular, but when something sounds good- i have to have it!

Food aversions? not a big fan of desserts right now [i know- SHOCKING!] except chocolate...i still adore that. thank goodness. but i CAN'T STAND carmel right now. haven't since week 5. yuck. bleh. get that crap AWAY from me. and pumpkin kinda grosses me out. perfect timing, i know.

Gender? mama says GIRL! daddy says BOY! and majority of the votes of our family and friends all say girl, but there's been a few boy guesses. what do YOU think?? :)

Labor signs? way too early for that!

Belly button in/out? In

What I miss: being my thin[ish] self and not getting winded as easily. two months ago i could run 2 miles easy! now, stairs have my gasping for breath. which sucks. but so worth it. :) EVERYTHING outweighs any bad. i love being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: those love-kicks!

Milestones: starting to show. :) proof is in the picture below..

whoa, baby!

i'm PREGNANT!

i'm going to be a mommy! ..me?? a mommy?!
whoa. :)

charlie and i are completely over the moon about our little sprout.

baby osborne due may 22nd.

p.s. check out the video of when i told charlie. after the initial shock of him being a DADDY, we hugged and kissed and celebrated the life we are creating.
we are so blessed.

[disregard my mouse-like squeals. that's what i sound like when i'm laughing/crying. if you wanted to know..]

blackberries.

after a sunday evening family dinner [picnic style] at the in-laws, we all decided we wanted some free fruit.
[add this to the list as to why oregon is awesome: free blackberries almost anywhere and anytime you'd like. one time, i even picked a few from a bush in the parking lot at work.]

[the thorns on these things are VICIOUS!

lake tahoe

in pictures.
because, words just don't do this place justice!
[sorry to those of you who follow my instagram. these pictures won't be new to you!]
sand harbor, lake tahoe.

emerald bay. the most photographed location in all of california. crazy!

fun times with our nephew, rowen.
he thought it was HIL-ARIOUS when he'd put my hair in front of my face and then i blow it off. :)

vaycay

tomorrow morning we'll be on a flight to one of my most favorite places on earth.

if you guessed lake tahoe, you're correct!

i can't wait to see my family, lay out on the dock all day, ride jet skies with my hunk, eat my mom's yummy breakfasts, cuddle with my nephew that i haven't seen for six months, get some quality sibling time in, walk down to "sno-flake" and get some ice cream [a tahoe tradition] and just be with the fambam.

tahoe is so special to my family. if you've ever gone in the summer time, you'd know why.

i mean look at this!

hellooooo paradise!

this trip marks the last vacation we'll have for a while.
first we had stagecoach.
then our belated honeymoon.
and now this!
all in three months!
we are lucky blessed.

birthday girl

my baby girl turned FOURTEEN today!!

this little doggie has been with me through everything since i was just a wee one in third grade.

i hope she never ever ever dies. [someone find me some miracle water or pill or something! stat!]

i love you, roxy! and i hope you always remember just how how much i love you!

[top photos: taken around 12-13 years old]
[bottom left: taken about a month before her 14th birthday]
[bottom right: cuddling up in her birthday present from me! & she loves it!]

osborne fambam

last month, we took a short visit up to oregon while charlie's sister [along with her husband and two little kidlets] were in town.
SO fun to have the entire family together. :)

naturally, my in laws wanted to get a quick session of family pictures done.

from left to right, top row first we have...[biiig breath] charlie, sam, chris, bethany [holding madelyn], jeff, sue, annie [holding gabriel] edwin [holding elsie], jenny and jon.
second row: mckenzie, daniel, natalie, josh, jeffrey, and thomy.

whew! and to think this side of the family isn't done growing yet! [and NO that isn't a clue. don't read into it, mom.]

and then there's us. ♥

halos.

we finally went to our first angel game of the season the other day!
thanks to my dad for the awesome seats [& good company!]

[charlie also got his first angel's shirt. poor boy- he was deprived without one ;)]

it got a liiiittle drizzly. thank goodness for mom's angels scarf.
who wants frizzy hair? not this girl.

LIGHT THAT HALO UP! angels won! 4-3.
that's the way we like it. :)

mustaches & minigolf

the rule was: in order to play, you have to wear your mustache.
welp, mine fell off by the second hole. [i couldn't smile without it falling off! make up didn't help keep it on, either.]
good thing no one was keeping track of mustaches or the score. :)
always a good time with the rodriguez's.

highlights of the (past two) weeks.

skipped last week. oopsies.
but i'll catch you guys up. no worries.

this baby came in the mail a couple weeks ago.
world, here we come!

got the passport mainly for our [late] HONEYMOON CRUISE!
here is my countdown. [which is now 78 days away! only the cool couples go on honeymoons 495 days after they're hitched. fyi.]
i'm only a little excited.

our beautiful baby niece, madelyn, was blessed the other week at church. [for those of you who aren't of our faith, it's kind of like a baby being christened. learn more about it here.] wish we could have been there!
go ahead and googoo-gaga over these precious pictures of her.

we've been having perfect partly cloudy crisp days in california lately. which will only turn into hot days in no time. :( until then i'll soak it all up!

see? perfect.

our nephew has mastered the "cheese face" that his mother had down pat at his age, too. like mother like son!

is your heart melting yet? if not, be prepared.
look what rowen sent his favorite auntie for valentines..
his little scribbles made me cry.
in a good way.
can't believe this little guy is already one and a half.
and half my height. literally.

speaking of valentines!
this was my mini chocolate treat on love day.

homemade chocolate pudding. mmmm.
didn't quite replace not having my yummy husband home to celebrate with me, but it was close enough.
..not really.

newly engaged best friend was in town the other day.
so we had lunch.
and talked wedding.
and took silly pictures. it's what we do best.
love you li! ['bout time she's back into the blog world! follow liana's blog here.

deployment flowers #13 were delivered yesterday.
these just might be the most beautiful ones yet!
but, i say that every time.
i love my husband and his thoughtfulness.
i say that every time, too. [except more like everyday.. :)]

other blog worthy news that i didn't get a picture of..
-got a window of dates for charlie's homecoming! CAN'T. BE. MORE. EXCITED.
-my big buff marine had a VERY successful mission that was supposed to be 10 days but his company is so awesome that they got it done in 4. so proud. :) read about it here.
-we know SEVEN couples that have gotten engaged this past week and a half. so happy for all of them! love is in the air. ahhh :) ♥

aaaand that's all folks!
