baby o. vol 7 [35 weeks]

THIRTY FIVE WEEKS!
holy. smokes.
i'm going to be a mommy sooner than i think!
i can't wait.

How far along?  35 weeks 2 days [as of today, 4-15-12]

How big is baby?  the books say about a little over 5 pounds! and around 18-19 inches! she's just plumping up now in there. :)

Maternity clothes? i think there's only a handful things that i still wear that are pre-pregnancy but i just squeeeeeze into them! a few of them are normal sweaters so those i don't squeeze into as much. oh, & i literally LIVE in my black maxi maternity skirt. best buy ever.

Stretch marks?  i don't want to talk about it. my poor legs and hips have gotten hit big time. i am just SO THANKFUL that my tummy and sides don't have them! [knock on wood!]

Sleep? still comes pretty dang easy, thank goodness! i just wake up about 3 times a night now to pee haha

Best moment last week?  i was concerned one evening because i couldn't remember feeling her move for a few hours so charlie laid his head down on my lap and just kept saying "london! wake up!" "loooondon where areeee yoouuu?" "london! mommy needs to feel you move". TEARS. TO. MY. EYES. he's going to be such a sweet daddy. oh, and she ended up moving a bit to his voice. i think she already has a favorite...

Movement? ohhhh yeah! she likes to act like a little stink bug and pop her tiny booty in and out and in again. it's adorable and definitely a favorite of mine.

Food cravings? i don't have cravings anymore but i'm just going through phases of loooving certain things, but like i said, i wouldn't consider it a "craving". it's just that when i eat or drink those items it's like the best things that's ever happened haha right now i'm currently loving: ice, lemon water, green smoothies, and grilled pb&j's with honey and bananas. basically anything. i had a cheeseburger last week and thought i died and went to heaven.

Food aversions? none. I LOVE FOOD! and so does she. she dances with happiness whenever i eat.

Labor signs? some braxton hicks here and there. and i can't tell if my pelvis is actually starting to widen or if it's just her skull so far down and it's rubbing against my bone. haha sounds more gnarly that it is in real life. promise.

Belly button in/out? out!

What I miss: not a lot. i honestly adore being pregnant. looking forward to getting back into shape, though!

What I am looking forward to:  being a mama! but, MAN i'm going to miss being pregnant. however, having her here will be the best thing in the world. we seriously cannot wait!

Milestones: almost full term! woop!

baby o. vol 6 [30 weeks]

can i get a whoop-whoop?! THIRTY WEEKS, PEOPLE!

do you know what that MEANS?! it means little girl will be here very soon.
it's now to the point where i have my doctors appointments every 2 weeks now.
and it's to the point where i pre-register at the hospital.
and it's to the point where charlie really really wants his baby girl to just be here already! [stay put for at least another 7 weeks, london! don't let daddy tempt you into coming too early.]
so, ya. 30 weeks. big deal. [and big belly!]

How far along?  30 weeks, 3 days [as of today, 3-12-13]

How big is baby? anywhere from 2-3 pounds! and somewhere between 15 & 16 inches long.

Maternity clothes? um, ya. big time.

Stretch marks?  unfortunately, yes. thankfully- they're only on my lower hips.

Sleep? i sleep best when i can hog the bed. :) some nights i sleep wonderfully, some nights not so much. but all in all, i can't complain.

Best moment last week?  yesterday i had a doctor's appointment and was able to hear the wonderful sound of her little heart beat. she was a hyper one yesterday with 170bpm! and she's getting so big that i can now squeeze my tummy and feel her little booty or one of her legs. it's cute- her bum is SO tiny! already love it. haha

Movement?  all day, every day! i absolutely love it. sometimes she'll do a huge JOLT. must be doing some insane back flips or something. crazy girl.

Food cravings? i've been loving pineapple lately. and any meat that has those yummy italian/savory flavors. mmm.

Food aversions? none any more.

Gender? all girl!

Labor signs? nope! few more weeks! keep cookin' little girl.

Belly button in/out? POPPED! see picture below. :)

What I miss: my old wardrobe. my outfit choices are pretty limited these days.

What I am looking forward to: CALIFORNIA! BABY SHOWER!! FAMILY TIME!!! we leave on monday and i'm staying for two whole weeks! YES. can't wait to visit "home". :)

Milestones: i'm officially in the 3rd trimester! yay!

baby o vol. 5 [26 weeks]

How far along?  26 weeks, 5 days [as of today, feb. 14th]

How big is baby? TWO whole pounds! and apparently, the length of an english cucumber if you were to stretch her out and measure from top of the head to those little toes.

Maternity clothes? there's only a few items of clothing that are pre-pregnancy clothing now. which means i'm gettin' BIG

Stretch marks?  unfortunately, yes. thankfully- they're only on my lower hips.

Sleep? still sleepin' like a champ! it's starting to get difficult moving to different positions in the middle of the night, though.

Best moment last week?  hmm...i guess the random strangers who are beginning conversations with "sooo what are you having??" and then go on to tell horror stories of having a girl in front of my husband. ya..he doesn't need to hear those stories. thanks, though! haha. i wouldn't count this as the "best" moment. maybe more "memorable". OH!!! almost forgot...
last week, i was in costco and some lady goes "not too much longer!!" hmm. this is already starting?? am i that large?? haha little does she know i was only 25 weeks.

Movement?  everyday! i love feeling her wiggle around :)

Food cravings? none any more.

Food aversions? none any more.

Gender? girly girl!

Labor signs? nope! ask me in about 12 or so weeks. :)

Belly button in/out? still about even. the top part will pop out by the end of the day, but it always goes back down by morning.

What I miss: being thin. my normal exercise routine & my normal eating regimen [this big appetite is hard to get used to!] but growing a healthy baby trumps it all! i'm very thankful to be able to have this baby and to have such an amazing pregnancy.

What I am looking forward to: another ultra sound tomorrow! i get a bonus one to check where my placenta is [it was really low at my 20 week ultra sound] and to also get clearer pictures of London's heart. can't wait to see that cute little peanut! but i'm not really looking forward to the glucose test tomorrow. eek! i hate getting blood drawn.

Milestones: almost out of the 2nd trimester. crazy!

pinterest inspired [DIY] paint chip mobile

sneak peek into london's nursery!

i FINALLY got around to hanging up the paint chip mobile i made for her nursery today.
i wanted to do this for her so it's something interesting to look at other than the bland ceiling. the colored circles just twist about so gently, it's almost mesmerizing.
here's hoping little miss loves it as much as i do!

i used a mixture of tutorials from pinterest. this tutorial, & this tutorial were the ones i used as a guideline. didn't follow either one to a Tee, i found my own little things that worked for me better as i went along.

it was SO easy and SO cheap! the most expensive part was buying the circle punch, but that's because i didn't already have one. but, it was on sale for $8 at Michael's Craft Store.

here's the breakdown:
-40 paint chips from local hardware store: free
-circle punch: $8
-white string: $0.50
-glue: i can't remember, probably around $3. (again, i didn't have any lying around)
-12" embroidery hoop: got it on sale for around $2
TOTAL: $13.50
but would have been way cheaper if i already had the glue, string, and circle punch on hand as most diy-ers do. :) but, still! under 14 bucks? i'm a happy girl!

baby o. vol 4 [22 weeks]

How far along?  22 weeks, 2 days [as of today]

How big is baby? ELEVEN INCHES! my big girl. :) she also weighs about 1 pound. grow, baby, grow!

Maternity clothes? absolutely! my wardrobe is half maternity clothes half pre-pregnancy clothes.

Stretch marks? a couple dots on my lower hips. boooooo :(

Sleep? love it.

Best moment last week? her kicks and rolls and turns getting stronger and stronger everyday! i LOVE that we can now SEE her move. haha, one morning last week, i woke up and looked at my tummy and she was curled up in a little ball on my left side. i was completely lopsided! charlie and i got a good laugh at that one. :)

Movement? read previous answer.

Food cravings? not craving much these days. but MAN, this little girl is definitely her daddy's daughter. this entire pregnancy i've loved reese's puffs [charlie's favorite cereal], and taco bell tacos. whaaat?? i'm a del taco girl, not a taco bell girl. but this baby seems to think otherwise. i try to eat these things in moderation. :) i wouldn't say those are "cravings" but they're mmm-mmm delicious!

Food aversions? good news! i can be around and even EAT caramel, now! no more food aversions for meeee!

Gender? GIRL! and she is ALL girl. my doula [who just so happens to be my sister in law- lucky me!] says london's ultra sound picture is the clearest girl gender picture she's seen!

Labor signs? ask me in like 18 weeks. :)

Belly button in/out? ALMOST even. still considered an innie.

What I miss: working out hard like i used to. doctor's orders to tone it down BIG time. jogging? what's that? man, my legs miss it, though... just simple elliptical, squats and light weight training for this mama-to-be.

What I am looking forward to: my baby shower in a couple months! woo-weee! planning is in progress!

Milestones: PAST halfway! holy crap. london will be here before we know it!

wives tales.

tomorrow is [FINALLY!] my anatomy scan ultra sound!
which means we also get to find out the gender!
i've been beyond antsy to find out.
i need to prepare! and shop! and start calling baby o by it's real name! and prepare some more! and register! and prepare prepare PREPARE! ahhh!
i'm working on my patience. haa

i made a fun little poster of wives tales and guesses before the big day. all for fun :)
here are the results!

so, we'll see!
OF COURSE i don't mind what the gender is! i will be absolutely thrilled either way.
i just pray that all is a-okay and healthy! as it gets closer, the anxiety of all the results are settling in. *que more praying!*

baby o vol. 3 [18 weeks]

i'm huge. i know. not normal for a first time mama. but i love showing off my belly :)

How far along? 18 weeks 5 days [as of today, 12-20-12]

How big is baby? 5 1/2 inches, or, about the size of a bell pepper! [the sweetest bell pepper you could ever find!]

Maternity clothes? yes yes and yes. i still squeeze into most of my pre-pregnancy clothes, but if i want to be absolutely comfortable, i turn to maternity clothing. tip for all you soon-to-be-mama's out there: H&M has theeee cutest maternity clothing

Stretch marks? so far, so good! praying it stays that way!

Sleep? still waking up once a night to go pee, and i'm finding that if i don't have a late night snack before bed [soo not used to eating that late], i don't sleep as well. other than that, sleeping is still wonderful!

Best moment last week? hmm...nothing really new, it's all been the best, i guess :)

Movement? yep! this mama loves to feel baby o kicking away :)

Food cravings? oooo a couple weeks ago we drove by olive garden and ever since i have been CRAVING their salad and breadsticks. so, of course, we went there on my birthday the other day. one of the best feelings in the world is fulfilling a pregnancy craving.

Food aversions? still not a fan of caramel. but i'm getting much better with it. as in, i can say the word without cringing.

Gender? we find out next friday! i am so antsy, i tell you!

Labor signs? way too early for that! i've just been having a little bit of braxton hicks contractions here and there. and i've noticed it's when i didn't drink enough water that day. oopsie :/

Belly button in/out? In. normally i have a very inny button, so it's still in; just not as deep.

What I miss: not much- i still LOVE being pregnant! however, i do miss being my thinner self haha unless i look at pictures, i've already forgotten what i look like thin! a friend of mine came over last week and she just looked so thin to me and her tummy was flat! weird concept for me now a days. :)

What I am looking forward to: finding out the gender. and feeling the kicks daily- it's still sporadic.

Milestones: almost half way! crazy, i tell you! CRAY.ZEE. if for whatever reason i give birth two weeks early, that means i'm already half way done with this pregnancy. ahh! i don't feel ready or prepared at all!
